Retro Mountain chooses London's King's Road for first UK store

Skiwear label Retro Mountain is to launch its first UK store in the form of a pop-up shop on London’s King’s Road.

The 1,178 square foot ‘London Apres’ store will be open from 20 November to 13 December and will stock the brand’s range of eye-catching skiwear with a retro twist.

Matt Martin, managing director at Retro Mountain, said: “We are hugely excited to launch our debut store on the King’s Road and have created a collection that is most certainly bold, brave and retro in time for the ski season. It is also great to be alongside other such well-known international labels all of which have established the King’s Road as London’s leading location for health, fitness and wellbeing.”

This news follows a successful 12 months for the Sloane Stanley Estate, with a series of leading brands recently launching on the King’s Road and Fulham Road. These include debut stores for couture milliner Jane Taylor, Danish womenswear brand Noa Noa, and lifestyle brand Woven. Fake Landscapes, the artificial plant company, has also joined the retail line-up.

Hannah Grievson, commercial property manager at Sloane Stanley, added: “Retro Mountain is a great business and we are delighted to welcome this unique and exciting label to our retail line up, adding to the appeal for our international visitors and resident shoppers.”

Sloane Stanley is one of the oldest landowning estates in London. The Estate owns and manages hundreds of residential and commercial properties on the King’s Road and Fulham Road.
