New Topshop Topman store opens at Brighton's Churchill Square
Topshop and Topman have opened a new flagship store at the Churchill Square shopping centre in Brighton.
The 33,000 square foot shop features the brands’ first joint personal shopping space in the UK and the first Topman personal shopping department outside London.
The opening marks the culmination of Standard Life Investments’ phase one refurbishment of the shopping centre’s Western Road elevation, which includes double height glass shop fronts for Topshop Topman, BHS, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins and Calzedonia.
Customers visiting the Topshop store between the 2 and 5 October were able to collect a free ‘Brighton Rock’ Lipstick and retro sweets by hash-tagging #TopshopBrightonRock in their social posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Ed Jenkins, head of UK Retail at Standard Life Investments, said: “The opening of Topshop Topman is a fitting end to the huge amount of work that has gone into Churchill Square over the past year. We anticipate that the enhancement will add to the centre’s ever-growing appeal. With over 12 million visitors per year, it is already one of the preferred shopping centres in the South East outside London and one of the top choices for national and international retailers looking beyond the capital.”
