Mothercare appoints new group director of corporate communications
Mother and baby products retailer Mothercare has appointed Anna Harland Martin as its group director of corporate communications.
Harland Martin most recently held the position of group director of communications at Rocco Forte Hotels. Prior to that she spent eight years at British Airways where she worked in a number of senior communications management positions.
At Mothercare, Harland Martin will have overall responsibility for Mothercare and Early Learning Centre communications, including supporting the chief executive and senior team on internal communication strategies, and the management of the group’s media relations activity.
Mothercare chief executive Simon Calver said: “We are very pleased to welcome Anna to the Mothercare group. She brings extensive experience in global customer-service led businesses and a rich background in delivering successful and integrated communications programmes to support change initiatives.”
Harland Martin added: “Mothercare is one of the most iconic, trusted and pioneering retail brands in the world and I am delighted to be joining them at such an exciting time of development.”
