Jetix Europe signs up Hasbro for The Insiders

Master toy licensee for action-adventure series Hasbro has been appointed as worldwide master toy licensee the latest animated urban action series from Jetix.

Jetix Europe's consumer products division, JCP, has awarded Hasbro the worldwide toy licensing rights for The Insiders, with the first consumer products and the toy line to be l
aunched in Autumn 2005, with more extensive lines to follow in 2006.

The Insiders is a co-production between Jetix Europe and the French production company, SIP Animation. Designed to appeal to boys aged 6 – 9 years, the series combines humour with edge-of-your-seat thrills.

The adventures follow a rebellious teen team and their encounters with the evil Mr Pain. The series joins Jetix Europe’s portfolio of programmes, serviced by Buena Vista International Television, and is expected to debut on major terrestrial networks, as well as on Jetix Europe channels and branded blocks in the second half of 2005.

Paul Taylor, interim CEO of Jetix Europe, said: "The Insiders is a strong urban action-adventure series and we are extremely pleased to have secured the involvement of one of the leading childrens’ toy and games manufacturers in bringing this new property to our audience.”

Simon Gardner, president, Hasbro Europe, said: "We are thrilled to have secured the rights to The Insiders, which has a great storyline and fabulous characters and vehicles. We look forward to creating an exciting range of toys and games from this major TV series."
