Sweaty Betty moves into Shoreditch
Womens active wear retailer Sweaty Betty is to open a new store in Londons Shoreditch.
Having launched its first shop in Notting Hill 15 years ago, Sweaty Betty now has 38 stores in the UK and two in New York.
The store in Redchurch Street will open in August and will stock the brand’s full range of clothing for running, the gym and yoga, as well as skiing, beach and tennis wear.
Sweaty Betty founder Tamara Hill-Norton said: “We are very excited about the Redchurch Street store. It’s an area that’s full of energy and creativity. We are planning a store fit-out which reflects the dynamism of Shoreditch and its shopping environment.”
Sara Law of Colliers International, who advised on the acquisition, added: “Sweaty Betty is the fitness clothing brand of choice for women. They will make a great addition to the unique retailing mix that is evolving on Redchurch Street.”
