Sainsbury's extends involvement in Diamond Jubilee celebrations
Sainsburys has extended its involvement in the Queens Diamond Jubilee celebrations by partnering with the Queens Diamond Jubilee Beacons.
Over 2,012 beacons will be lit across the UK on 4 June as part of the celebrations planned by Buckingham Palace for the Jubilee weekend.
Through its commitment to the partnership, Sainsbury's will be offering significant discounts to beacon holders to help them prepare for their lighting ceremony celebrations. In addition, Sainsbury's stores around the country will be making contact with key beacon party organisers to help them get in touch with their local communities to make the most of their celebrations, as well as providing beacon party 'starter' kits.
Sainsbury's is supporting a number of events over the Jubilee weekend including the Jubilee Pageant and the Jubilee Woods project. It is also holding a Jubilee family festival in London’s Hyde Park in June.
Mark Rigby, Jubilee spokesperson for Sainsbury's said: "The Beacons partnership allows us to share in the Jubilee weekend celebrations with customers throughout the UK in the local communities our stores serve."
