Tesco Lotus Fund to invest in additional five malls
Tescos property fund in Thailand is planning to invest in additional shopping malls in the country as part of the supermarkets strategy to release value from its international property portfolio.
The Tesco Lotus Retail Growth Freehold and Leasehold Fund has announced a proposal to invest in five Tesco Lotus-anchored shopping malls. The fund, which launched in March 2012, said the proposed expansion will bring its total number of assets to 22 shopping malls across Thailand.
This proposal has been approved by the investment committee will be put to unit holders for approval at a meeting scheduled for 5 October 2012.
