Maginus appoints Lulu Guinness managing director as non-executive director

The IT solutions provider for multi-channel retail and distribution companies has announced the appointment of Paul Spinks as a non-executive director.

Spinks has over 20 years experience in the retail market, currently as managing director of Lulu Guinness Ltd, and previously as managing director of Cath Kidston. Prior to those roles, Spinks was associate director at global retail consultancy, Javelin Group. As non-executive irector, Spinks will offer advice and help guide Maginus’ development strategy in relation to the solutions it offers in the retail market.

Simon Weeks, chief executive of Maginus, said: “I am delighted to have Paul joining our team. Paul has an exceptional track record in senior roles within the retail market and will bring a great range of skills and experience to complement our board. I’m sure he will add a new perspective to our view of the challenges facing our market.”

Spinks added: “I’m very excited to be joining Maginus at this time. I have worked with Maginus in the past, as a customer, and therefore understand their strengths and capabilities within the multi-channel retail market. They are the only software solution provider I know that can deliver an end-to-end solution from back office to ecommerce, hosting to digital marketing. I hope that by bringing in my expertise and first-hand experience I can make a real contribution to the strategy and ensure that Maginus exploits the opportunities in the multi-channel retail market.”
