Leasing momentum at Covent Garden
The Royal Opera House Arcade in London’s Covent Garden has signed up a raft of upmarket brands as it looks to reposition itself as a shopping destination for luxury accessories and gifts.
Capital & Counties Properties have secured lettings from The Watch Gallery, Mulberry, Lulu Guinness and Poiray.
The Lulu Guinness, Mulberry and The Watch Gallery stores are all expected to open in September.
Meanwhile, French jewellery brand Poiray will launch its first UK store at Royal Opera House Arcade in time for Christmas following the vacation and refurbishment of the premises.
Ian Hawksworth, chief executive of Capital Counties Properties, said: “These signings demonstrate how Covent Garden is continuing its transformation as we continue to attract fantastic premium brands to the estate. These brands underline our strategy to introduce luxury accessories in the Royal Opera House Arcade and reinforce Covent Garden’s reputation as a world class destination for leading brands.”
The leases follow on from recent pre-lets in Covent Garden to Petersham Nurseries in the Kings Court development, VyTA Santa Margherita in the Market Building and SUSHISAMBA on Opera Terrace.
