JYSK launches global assortment online
Danish furniture retailer JYSK is expanding the chain¬ís online assortment across more countries due the increasing popularity of Scandinavian inspired design.
Products which were previously only for sale in Northern Europe, will now be available to customers across 18 countries.
The move coincides with the retailer’s new campaign, JYSK Favourites.
Peter Andsager, executive vice president for purchasing at JYSK, said: “JYSK Favourites is the beginning of a new, global way of thinking when it comes to our assortment. We will continue to differentiate which products customers can find in stores. The new thing is that we are now expanding the Scandinavian design to even more customers online via tablets in stores and in JYSK’s webshop.”
Some 150 products have been relocated from JYSK’s distribution centre in Uldum in Denmark to the company’s distribution centre in Radomsko in Poland to help the retailer deliver the new products across across more borders.
JYSK said the Favourites assortment has been refreshed with new products that combine Scandinavian design with global trends, especially in the flexible furniture, textiles and interior decorating categories.
Katrine Kruuse, range and design manager at JYSK, said: “When more products need to be sold in more countries, a need for thinking both Scandinavian and global design arises, even before the purchasing begins.
“We have a great advantage in the fact that Scandinavian design is a hit in many parts of the world. When we add a global twist to the Scandinavian flavor, we have the recipe for success.”
The global assortment will now be available in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.
