Holland & Barrett renews and extends Leicester Tigers sponsorship deal
With the original sponsorship agreement signed in September 2010, the two-year extension takes effect from the beginning of the new 2013/14 season. Under the deal, Holland & Barrett will continue its sponsorship of the rugby stadium’s South Stand.
Holland & Barrett’s parent company NBTY Europe has also announced the extension of its sponsorship deal with the addition of sport nutrition brand GNC, which will become the club's official sports nutrition partner and sponsor of the North Stand (currently the Caterpillar Stand). The agreement will see GNC provide the team with all its sports nutrition products.
With 10,000 seats, the North Stand is English rugby’s largest purpose built stand. The will be GNC’s first sponsorship of a significant sports asset as part of plans to gain brand exposure to a national sport and rugby-loving audience.
NBTY Europe’s chief executive Peter Aldis said: "The Tigers is our local club and I am enormously proud that this new deal sees both of our consumer brands share in the Tigers’ reputation for commitment, leadership and success.
"We share a common key interest in maintaining very high levels of fitness and health, and in our continued role as official provider of vitamins and supplements, we look forward to fuelling the team and the fans towards even greater success in the seasons to come."
