Harrods store image director to follow Marigay McKee to Saks Fifth Avenue
Harrods store image director Mark Briggs is to follow the department stores former chief merchant Marigay McKee to Saks Fifth Avenue
Briggs will join the New York store in March 2014, taking up the role of chief marketing officer. Reporting to McKee, he will oversee all marketing, creative and visual merchandising activity.
“Mark brings a wealth of experience in luxury brand management with a proven track record of creating retail magic around heritage brands. His passion for retail theatre and essential understanding of the customer will be integral to our success,” said McKee. “I am thrilled to welcome Mark to the Saks team, where he will play a key role on the executive committee.”
A long time collaborator with McKee, Briggs spent 20 years at Harrods as director of store image with responsibility for marketing, communications and the store’s visual aspects.
The news comes just three months after Saks announced that McKee would take up the role of president following the completion of the store’s acquisition by Hudson’s Bay Company.
