Amathus Drinks to open new store in Hampstead

Amathus Drinks is to expand its high street presence with the opening of a new store in London’s Hampstead.

Due to launch on 9 March, the shop will have 2,500 products available spanning premium whisky, tequila, gin, rum, cognac, wine and champagne, as well as an exclusive selection of rare and fine wines and cigars. It will also host a range of customer events and offer local delivery and click and collect options.

Established in 1978, the family owned drinks importer, distributor and retailer has seen a continuous growth in its bricks-and-mortar stores over the years. Other shops are located in places like Soho, Shoreditch, City of London, South Kensington, Muswell Hill, Brighton, Notting Hill and  Bath.

Harry Georgiou, managing director at Amathus Drinks, said: “The most exciting part of our (drinks to the world) mission is the privilege we have to share the wonderful stories behind each of the amazing producers we import from all over the world directly with like-minded, adventurous and the most discerning consumers.

“The Hampstead area is the perfect fit for our 9th store, we believe the clientele will consist of a very cosmopolitan and quality-aware demographic that will welcome our products and services with the same enthusiasm as our other stores such as South Kensington and Soho.”
