Footasylum to open 12,000 square foot store at Trinity Leeds
Footasylum is set to open a major new store at Trinity Leeds shopping centre this April.
Situated in the former Superdry unit, the 12,000 square foot space will replace Footasylum’s former Leeds store at The Core shopping centre and follow the success of a pop-up at Trinity Leeds last year.
Subscribe to TRBThe new store will offer a broad mix of third-party brands alongside Footasylum’s exclusive labels, including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.
To celebrate the opening, Footasylum will be bringing its social media strategy from the screens to the streets with a series of events in-store. It will also be partnering with local businesses to celebrate talent within the city and connect with consumers at a local level.
Shannon Osman, head of retail at Footasylum, said: “Leeds has always been a strong market for Footasylum. The response to our pop-up in the Trinity shopping centre last year, and our previous store at The Core, demonstrated clear demand for a bigger, permanent Footasylum presence in the city, and we’re delighted Trinity provided the right opportunity to do that.
“This store represents an important step as we continue our rollout across the UK and beyond under Aurelius’ ownership. Investing in high-quality retail spaces remains central to our multi-brand, multi-channel strategy, and we look forward to further openings in the year ahead.”
Recent UK openings by Footasylum include stores at Cornmill Centre in Darlington, Croft Retail and Leisure Park in Bromborough, and Forster Square shopping centre in Bradford.
The company is also expanding internationally. In November, it signed a distribution agreement with MAD Agency covering the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
This was followed in December by a new strategic partnership with Apparel Group, paving the way for Footasylum stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
