Moida to open first standalone K-beauty store in Leeds at Trinity Leeds
Moida is to become the first standalone K-beauty retailer to open a store in Leeds.
Due to launch in mid-August, the 1,400 square foot shop at Trinity Leeds will offer a selection of authentic Korean skincare brands, including Dr. Althea, Beauty of Joseon, Tirtir, Medicube and Biodance.
Subscribe to TRBLandsec has revealed that health and beauty is one of the strongest-performing categories across retail destinations, accounting for 10% of total retail sales with year-on-year growth of 12.8%.
The signing builds on significant leasing momentum at the centre, which has completed 21 transactions in the past year, including Lane7, Footasylum, LEGO and Schuh.
Clare Dutton, portfolio director at Landsec, said: “Leeds has a large population of younger shoppers that’s highly engaged with global beauty brands, making it the natural home for Moida’s first standalone store in the city.
“It’s another example of how Trinity Leeds continues to evolve its retail offer ensuring the destination remains the first choice for brands looking to successfully reach a Gen Z audience.”
