Leading digital receipt solution, Yocuda, has found that Grocery consumers’ appetite for digital receipts is accelerating, as new research reveals 71% of UK grocery shoppers opt for a digital receipt when it’s offered in-store.
This figure rises to 81% among customers who shop in grocery stores every day.

New data from Yocuda also revealed that Grocery loyalty card members are ready to ditch the paper, with 79% stating they’d like to receive a digital receipt every time they use their loyalty card in store and 63% expecting retailers to personalise offers based on their shopping history. When asked about the future of receipts, grocery consumers overwhelmingly agree that digital is best, with 85% believing we will have fewer or no paper receipts in five years, rising to 93% among those who grocery shop daily. This shift in mindset signals a growing consumer demand for eco-conscious alternatives that also deliver on convenience.
