The Cotswold Company makes new senior appointments

The Cotswold Company has revamped its senior management team with the appointments of Jim Sharp as chairman and Matt Pollington as chief marketing officer.

The hirings also include Mike Ellis becoming director of merchandising.

Sharp’s career has included working in senior roles at Schroeder’s and Jimmy Choo. He has also been chairman of several digital-led brands including Seraphine, Feelunique, In The Style and YouGarden.

In his new position, he will work closely with The Cotswold Company chief executive Ralph Tucker on delivering the furniture retailer’s growth plans.

Meanwhile Pollington previously worked as Made.com’s global director of customer and marketing, and Mike Ellis has held senior merchandising positions at Sainsbury’s and The White Company.

Tucker said: “We are delighted to have Jim, Matt and Mike on board. All three are fantastic additions to our leadership team, they bring a wealth of experience from across the retail industry and truly understand how to continue to drive The Cotswold Company forward.”
