The Cotswold Company opens first retail park showroom

The Cotswold Company has opened its first showroom in a retail park at Portfield Retail Park in Chichester.

The premium furniture and homeware brand said the opening will give it the opportunity to test a larger format to its usual showrooms while still retaining the characterful feel.

The Cotswold Company stores are designed to replicate various spaces within the home with fully styled room settings, dropped ceilings and faux window installations.

The expanded space will showcase a wider product range, including best-selling collections such as Chester, Inglesham, Elkstone Oak and Camille, plus the brand’s largest upholstery offer with a dedicated hub featuring full-length fabrics, a consultation area and take-home swatches. It will also offer a ready-made curtain range.

Chichester marks the brand’s fourth showroom opening of 2025, following the recent launch of its Knutsford location, which is performing ahead of expectations. The Cotswold Company is planning to launch at least one further store before the end of its financial year.

Ralph Tucker, chief executive of The Cotswold Company, said: “This opening is a significant milestone for the brand as we strengthen our presence in the South East and drive the rollout of our immersive showroom format that allows customers to experience broader ranges of our collections.

“With a strong showroom pipeline, Chichester being the fourth in 2025 with at least one more planned before the end of the financial year, we’re building momentum as we work towards becoming the UK’s leading premium furniture and homeware brands.”
