Dreams expands in North East with new store and distribution centre
Dreams has expanded its presence in the North East with the opening of a new distribution centre and store in Sunderland.
The store at the city’s Pallion Retail Park spans almost 9,000 square feet, while the adjacent distribution centre offers a similar amount of space.
Subscribe to TRBDreams said the new facility will expand stock capacity, improve product availability and help deliver shorter lead times for customers across the region. Operating six days a week, it brings the retailer’s total number of UK distribution centres to 13.
The move forms part of a wider programme of store and distribution investments launched in late 2024 and set to continue in 2026, as the retailer looks to strengthen its UK presence and support sustained growth.
Jonathan Hirst chief executive of Dreams, said: “We’re really pleased to be growing our presence in the North East with our Sunderland distribution centre and nearby store.
“By expanding our presence in Sunderland, we’re making it easier for customers across the North East to get the right advice in store and enjoy their new bed sooner.
“It’s an important investment for us, and part of our wider ambition to help more people across the UK get a better night’s sleep.”
