Dreams completes purchase of head office site

Dreams has completed the purchase of its High Wycombe head office from founder Mike Clare.

Home to the bed retailer since 2004, the building houses more than 250 staff members across the corporate, finance, people, marketing, buying and merchandising teams.

Dreams said the purchase forms part of its strategy to reinvest profits into strengthening infrastructure and supporting long-term growth. In addition to over 220 retail stores and 12 delivery centres, the retailer operates a manufacturing hub in Oldbury in the West Midlands, where over 1,900 products are produced every day

Jonathan Hirst, chief executive of Dreams, said: “Securing ownership of Bedquarters is a hugely exciting milestone for us, underlining our commitment to the future of Dreams.

“I would like to thank Mike and Ed Clare for their support through this process and for their role in shaping Dreams’ journey to date.

“This purchase is another demonstration of the strength of our business, enabling us to keep investing in our people, our craftsmanship and our customers for years to come.”

Clare said:  “I’m absolutely delighted that Dreams has chosen to invest in this strategic location, ensuring a continued and meaningful Dreams presence in High Wycombe.”
