Ascona hires director of construction and infrastructure
Forecourt operator Ascona Group has appointed Ian Richards to the newly created role of director of construction and infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the Ascona chief executive Darren Briggs, he will help the leadership team achieve the company’s strategy of reaching 300 sites across the country within the next five years, and will oversee all construction and infrastructure matters including managing development projects.
In line with Ascona’s strategy to develop the next evolution of roadside retail destinations, he will also oversee the next phase as the company looks to complete 12 knock-down-rebuilds across the portfolio over the next two years.
Richards has joined the business following an extensive career in the downstream oil industry where he worked with Elf Oil, Total UK and Rontec.
