Pretty Little Thing hires Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague as creative director

Fast fashion company Pretty Little Thing has appointed Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hague as creative director.

In a statement, the retailer said Hague will be “creatively directing upcoming campaigns for the brand and signing new faces within the UK and EU”.

With 5.9 million Instagram followers, Hague has already been a brand ambassador for the Boohoo owned label where she curated edits and worked on behind the scenes videos and podcasts. In her new position, she will also be involved with working with Pretty Little Thing’s  brand and creative teams.

The news comes as Pretty Little Thing launches a first exclusively designed collection by Hague, which includes separates, classic silhouettes, tailored items, jeans, tops and swimwear.

Umar Kamani, chief executive of Pretty Little Thing, said: “This felt like a natural fit for us. Molly has been a huge part of our Pretty Little Thing journey and she is so invested in the brand.

“We wanted to explore different avenues together and bring her on board as more of a creative, where she can work closely with our teams and be involved in our wider strategy in the UK and Europe over the next 12 months.”
