Examples of recent price cuts include Crème Fraîche, down to 75p from 85p, British Pork Shoulder Steak, down to £4.29 from £4.39, and Chickpeas, down to 45p from 49p.

Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “We know that many households are continuing to feel the pressure of rising costs, which is why we’ve already invested £122 million in lowering prices this year and will continue to do everything we can to keep prices down for our customers.

“With nearly 500 products reduced so far in 2026, we’re helping shoppers make their money go further, without compromising on quality.”

The news comes two weeks after Aldi announced that it was investing a total of £16 million in Easter price cuts.
