Aldi cuts prices on 330 products in £100m school holiday investment
Aldi has invested a further £100 million in cutting the prices of 330 products as it looks to help families with their spending in the school holidays.
The supermarket has reduced prices on a range a everyday essentials, including fresh and frozen food, cupboard items, household staples and personal care products.
Subscribe to TRBThe move means that Aldi has cut the price of over 1,000 products so far this year in a £300 million investment.
Savings have been applied across fruit and vegetables, including 40p off Aldi’s 4-pack Nectarines and 22p off Honeydew Melons.
Shoppers can also save 80p on selected British steaks, including Aldi’s 21-Day Matured Sirloin Steak, which is now priced at £4.49.
In addition, the price of Aldi’s Specially Selected range of Cheddar cheeses (350g) has been cut to £2.99, saving shoppers 40p.
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “It’s never been more important that everyday grocery essentials and family favourites remain affordable.
“We’re committed to keeping prices low on popular products because we know it can make a real difference, helping families to make the most of the summer.”
Aldi has also brought back its Summer Support Scheme where it gives away £50 shops to families every day throughout July and August.
