Aldi to open a new store every week in September, creating 120 jobs

Aldi has confirmed it will be opening a new store every week in September, creating up to 120 new jobs.

Following the opening of its new Balsall Common store near Solihull, Aldi will launch a further three stores in Telford, Rayleigh, and London’s Hoxton.

The supermarket is currently investing £370 million in new stores this year, as it works towards its long-term aim of operating 1,500 stores across the UK.

Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: “We know there are still communities across the country that want access to an Aldi store, and we’re working hard to bring our unbeatable value to more of them.

“Opening a new store every week throughout September demonstrates the pace of our expansion, while creating new jobs and bringing high-quality, affordable food to even more shoppers.”
