Represent to open first UK store

Represent will be opening its first UK store this weekend in its home city of Manchester.

The news comes as the luxury menswear brand is on track for a record £100 million turnover by the end of 2024 and is also aiming to reach a target of £250 million by 2028.

The launch of 5,419 square foot shop on New Cathedral Street in the city centre follows the brand’s opening of a bespoke boutique store in West Hollywood, Los Angeles in March.

Early next year, Represent is planning to open a second UK site in London’s Soho, which will operate as a tailored concept store.

Founded in 2011 by brothers George and Michael Heaton, Represent previously only sold online through its own website and in retail spaces in department stores, including Selfridges, Harrods and END.

The New Cathedral Street location is also home to luxury retailers such as Louis Vuitton, Selfridges, Paul Smith, Canada Goose and Harvey Nichols.   .

The shop will have an entire floor dedicated to Represent’s fast growing performance wear division, 247 by Represent.

George Heaton, creative director of Represent, said: “As we continue to grow as a brand, opening our first physical UK store was a natural progression. Given that Represent was born in Manchester, and it’s where our global HQ is based, the city was the only choice– it is in our DNA.

“The Represent Manchester location marks an important and iconic milestone for the brand; having spent the past three years planning physical retail footprints, trialling the senses of energy, look, feel, and scent through our partners such as Selfridges
and Harrods along the process.”
