Lucy & Yak expands presence in north with new Chester store

Lucy & Yak is to open its 12th UK store in Chester as it expands its presence in the north of England.

Due to launch on 25 July, the shop on the city’s high street will feature an update to the brand’s signature “little pink shop” while staying true to its colourful identity. In keeping with Lucy & Yak’s commitment to supporting creatives, it will also feature a unique mural painting by a local artist on the walls behind the till point.

Lucy & Yak’s expansion follows the successful launches of new stores in Bristol, Norwich, Nottingham, Cambridge, Manchester, Cardiff, Exeter and Canterbury, as well as its first outlet in Castleford. The brand also operates its original flagship store in Brighton’s North Laine and a sustainability-focused flagship in The Lanes, Brighton.

Each shop also serves as a Re:Yak hub where customers can recycle, repair or upcycle their clothes or participate in a buyback scheme.

Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “We can’t wait to open the doors to our new shop in Chester, growing our northern presence further.

“The new space will offer another hub for creativity and community, giving us a chance to engage with our customers in person.

“The teams are currently working hard to bring more localised events and community meet ups to our little pink shops, which you can keep an eye on on our website – there’s lots of exciting things to come.”
