Trailberg begins expansion with new Manchester store
Trailberg is set to open its second UK store at Manchester’s Trafford Centre
Founded in Manchester in 2021 by David Makin, Jack Spellacy and Dale Thorpe, the outdoor performance wear brand has also appointed advisors to help find new retail sites in premium retail and leisure destinations.
The new standalone store at Trafford Centre will complement Trailberg’s existing wholesale partnerships with Footasylum and JD Sports. The store launch will mark the debut of the brand’s womenswear and technical apparel collections. Trailberg is also planning to introduce footwear next year.
Spellacy said: “Trailberg is in huge demand among consumers, so, following our launch last year in Manchester city centre, the time is right to expand our store presence in more of the UK’s leading retail destinations.
“Top of the list was Trafford Centre, which is the first-choice location for a significant, loyal and engaged catchment that significantly expands our reach in the North West. This is the beginning of something very exciting for Trailberg.”
Trailberg is the latest in series of brands to sign or open at Trafford Centre this year, following the debut of JD’s largest store in the world, the opening of Bershka and upsized Zara and Pull & Bear stores, and the launch of the first standalone Gymshark in the north of England.
Subscribe to TRBKate Pearson, director of portfolio leasing at Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s asset manager, said: “We’re excited for Trailberg to come to Trafford Centre with what will be its second store.
“At Trafford Centre we are always looking to support home-grown, local brands, and a Manchester brand like Trailberg will add strength to our extensive range of outdoor clothing brands.”
