Footasylum names former Gymshark general manager as chief executive
Footasylum has appointed former Gymshark general manager Hannah Mercer as its new chief executive, with effect from the start of May.
Mercer joined Gymshark in 2024 and spent nearly two years at the brand, where she led the global expansion of its retail, franchise and wholesale channels.
Subscribe to TRBPrior to that, she spent more than six years at Adidas where she held a series of senior global vice president roles across retail operations, global retail and franchise, and global key cities.
Earlier in her career, she served in senior leadership positions at Nike, Harrods, House of Fraser and Value Retail (Bicester Village).
Mercer’s appointment comes as Footasylum continues to execute its growth strategy, which includes strengthening its streetwear proposition, expanding its omnichannel capabilities and deepening engagement with its core consumer base.
The retailer is also expanding across the DACH and Gulf regions and opening new and upsized stores in key UK locations.
