Footasylum returns to Silverburn as it ramps up UK expansion
Footasylum has launched a new store at the Silverburn shopping centre as it ramps up its UK expansion.
The news follows the retailer securing fresh funding through the extension of its revolving credit facility with HSBC, which has increased from £35 million to £60 million.
Subscribe to TRBMarking a return to Silverburn for the retailer, the 10,305 square foot shop will offer a selection of new and exclusive product ranges, tailored specifically to its Glasgow customer base.
It will also stock a variety of third-party brands alongside Footasylum exclusive labels including Monterrain, Forena, Dripmade and Epic Kind.
The shop adds to Footasylum’s existing locations in Glasgow, which currently includes Argyle Street, Fort Shopping Park and Braehead.
Footasylum is currently expanding its UK presence with a focus on high performing, high footfall locations. Other recent openings include Darlington’s Cornmill Centre, Bromborough’s Croft Retail and Leisure Park, and Forster Square in Bradford.
The retailer is also pushing ahead with international expansion. In November 2025, Footasylum signed a distribution agreement with MAD agency across the DACH region, which covered Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It has also embarked on a strategic partnership with Apparel Group to establish stores across the Gulf Cooperation Council, spanning the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
