ASOS appoints new non-executive director
Online fashion retailer ASOS has appointed Wei Gao as a non-executive director.
Gao was previously chief operating officer at online events platform Hopin. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at at Amazon where her roles included vice president for grocery tech, product and supply chain, and technical advisor to the chief executive.
She will join the ASOS board on 1 February 2023.
Jørgen Lindemann, ASOS chairman, said: “On behalf of the board, I want to welcome Wei to ASOS. Wei joins us with a depth of relevant industry knowledge across international ecommerce. The board will greatly benefit from Wei’s expertise, and we look forward to working closely with her.”
Following previously announced non-executive director changes, the ASOS board has also confirmed that Mai Fyfield has been appointed as chair of its remuneration committee with effect from 1 January.
