ASOS appoints celebrity stylist Law Roach to new Stylist in Residence role
ASOS has appointed US fashion stylist Law Roach to the newly created role of Stylist in Residence.
Starting from this autumn, Roach will be styling six covers for the relaunch issue of ASOS Magazine, which will serve as inspiration for a shoppable edit curated by the ASOS team.
Subscribe to TRBASOS said Roach will also be working closely with the brand to help shape its fashion point of view through styling. This will include him working on seasonal campaigns and sharing his perspective on how to wear key pieces.
The retailer said the appointment is an important expression of its role as “The Stylist” as it will help customers discover what works for them. This follows research commissioned by ASOS that found that two-thirds of consumers find knowing what to buy easier than knowing how to wear it.
Roach will aim to address that issue, as he will interpret each season through his own creative lens, helping customers discover the best looks for them and develop their personal style.
He has worked with various celebrities, including Zendaya, Celine Dion, Ariana Grande and Anya Taylor-Joy, and was the first recipient of the CFDA’s Stylist Award.
Vanessa Spence, EVP brand and creative at ASOS, said: Law is one of the most influential creative voices in fashion today. What makes him exceptional is his ability to use style to build confidence, tell stories and shape culture.
“At ASOS, we’re focused on helping customers discover what works for them, understand how to wear it and make it their own.
“As we continue establishing ASOS as The Stylist, Law’s extraordinary eye, creative instinct and deep understanding of fashion culture will help us bring even more inspiration and confidence to our customers.
Roache’s creative work for ASOS will roll out across campaigns, styling content and cultural storytelling, inviting customers to “Style Your Moment”.
