Asics EMEA has seen its consolidated net revenue increase by 44% across all distribution channels in the year to date.

In addition, its operating income has climbed “significantly” to €70.5 million.

The sportswear brand has reported a 52% year-on-year uplift in its wholesale channels in the period with growth in Italy and its Iberia region particularly strong at 116% and 111% respectively.

Online sales have also been buoyant, rising by 45% year-on-year.

Asics EMEA chief executive Carsten Unbehaun said: “We are currently seeing unprecedented demand for Asics products across the region. Our business has grown significantly compared to last year, fuelled by product innovation and the fact that more people are choosing Asics. We are seeing profitable growth from all parts of the business and all channels, demonstrating that we have positive momentum in the region.”

Asics launched the its Metaspeed Edge shoe in June to help cadence-style runners extend their stride length and improve their overall efficiency. It also extended its partnership with the world’s number one tennis player Novak Djokovic who continues to be a brand ambassador.
