Toolstation has appointed Sam MacGregor as its new retail director.

MacGregor previously worked with Homebase, most recently as retail and people director. Prior to that, she was head of marketing at the home improvement retailer. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of senior roles at HEMA, BHS, Asda, B&Q, Somerfield and M&S.

Angela Rushforth, managing director at Toolstation, said: “With almost 30 years of experience in retail, Sam brings a wealth of customer-led, commercial expertise and impeccable leadership skills to Toolstation.

“Her expertise will prove invaluable as we continue to build upon our strategy of focusing on Toolstation’s customer, convenience and availability.”

Never Miss a Retail Update!

MacGregor added: “I am delighted to be joining Toolstation at such an exciting time and look forward to delivering even better experiences for our customers by focusing on retail innovation, growth and customer service excellence so that Toolstation continues to be the go-to destination for tradespeople and DIYers.”

Toolstation is part of the Travis Perkins Group and operates around 720 stores.
