Superdrug freezes prices of own-brand allergy products

Superdrug has announced that it is freezing the prices of its own brand allergy products until the end of the year as it looks to help customers survive the extended allergy season during the cost-of-living crisis.

The health and beauty retailer’s allergy range includes Hay Fever Wipes, Allergy Eye Drops. One-A-Day Hay Fever & Allergy Tablets, Allergy Eye Mist and Allergy Saline Nasal Spray.

With an estimated one in four people living with allergies and hay fever in the UK, Superdrug is expecting the move to be well received by customers,

Caris Newson, Superdrug’s healthcare director, said: “Due to the current economic climate, we know our customers want effective healthcare products that provide real value for money. Our own brand Allergy products include the same active ingredients as branded alternatives and with prices starting as little as 99p, our range offers real value for money.

“Our commitment to price freezing this important range for the remainder of 2023 will hopefully support the nation in managing and dealing with their allergies, in a cost effective and efficient way.”
