The Cotswold Company to open new store in Bath as part of omnichannel growth strategy

The Cotswold Company has launched its ninth UK store in Bath as part of its digitally-led omnichannel growth strategy.

Due to open on 14 December, the 4,000 square foot space is housed in a historic Georgian building on the city’s Northgate Street.

The move forms part of the Cotswold Company’s plans to selectively expand its retail portfolio over the coming year.

Ralph Tucker, chief executive of the Cotswold Company, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of our ninth store, located in Bath, as we continue to support our digital-led model with welcoming, differentiated retail stores that enable our customers to truly experience our brand.

“This Bath store is exceptionally exciting, as we have had lots of requests from customers to bring a store to the city. I am delighted we have been able to secure such a fantastic location in an iconic British city so close to our authentic Cotswold heritage.”

Backed by True Global, the retailer sells a range of premium furniture and accessories for the home and garden. Since 2019, its revenues have grown by more than 57% to over £86.2 million.

As part of its strategy to strengthen its UK position, the Cotswold Company will open its tenth store in early 2024.

Tucker added: “We are confident that our model of opening carefully curated stores in strategically important locations, supported by locally relevant digital marketing initiatives, and high-quality service – both in-store and via our white glove delivery service – sets us apart as we continue to carefully expand and grow our brand.”

The Cotswold Company was founded in 1996 in Bourton-on-the-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds.
