Amazon Prime Day to run for 48 hours this year

Amazon has announced that its Amazon Prime Day will run for 48 hours this year.

Starting at 1am on 15 July, the deals event will offer Prime members two full days of shopping for the first time.

Jeff Wilke, Amazon chief executive of worldwide consumer, said: “Get ready as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day. Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member.”

Amazon said Prime members will enjoy more than one million deals around the world. Deals will be offered across a range of categories such as TVs, smart home, kitchen, grocery, toys, fashion, furniture and everyday essentials.
