Ocado Group launches first CFC in Poland

Ocado Group has launched its first customer fulfilment centre in Poland.

The 16,000 square metre facility for Auchan Polska is situated at Wilcza Góra, near Warsaw. It has gone live with the full suite of Ocado’s latest Re:Imagined automation.

The move will eventually enable Auchan Polska to offer a range of up to 40,000 products with lead times across both same day and next day delivery options.

Ocado also operates two technology development centres in the Polish cities of Krakow and Wroclaw.

Alexandre Saussard, president of Auchan Polska, said: “The solutions implemented in the new centre enable a high degree of automation in the order preparation process, increase the reliability and completeness of deliveries, and ensure our customers receive the highest quality service, while also offering an exceptionally wide range of products – ultimately up to 40,000 items.

“Our goal is to fully cover the market in terms of the availability of such services – we are starting with the Warsaw agglomeration, and in subsequent stages we plan to expand the scope of deliveries to other cities in Poland.”
