Ocado confirms Nemlig as latest grocery partner in Denmark
Ocado has confirmed Danish online grocer Nemlig as the unnamed European retailer announced as its latest partner last month.
Under the agreement, the two companies will build a state-of-the-art customer fulfilment centre (CFC) near Copenhagen to support the continued development and growth of Nemlig.com in Denmark.
The site will be equipped with the latest Ocado technology, including the 600 series bot, on-grid robotic pick, and a fully automated freezer.

It also said the deal reflects the flexible nature of its grocery solution where individual elements can be integrated into different parts of a retailer’s established business.
Nemlig expects to transfer its existing order volumes into the CFC in 2028 and generate a significant increase in profitability from go-live.
Tim Steiner, founder and chief executive of Ocado Group, said: “I’m delighted to confirm Nemlig as our latest grocery partner, bringing another leading pure-play online retailer onto the Ocado Smart Platform.
“Nemlig and Ocado Retail share a deep understanding of how to disrupt traditional retail through an online-only model, and I’m pleased they’ve chosen our technology to support their profitable growth in Denmark.
Stefan Plenge, founder and chief executive of Nemlig, said: “This partnership marks an important next step for Nemlig and will significantly strengthen the efficiency and scalability of our business.
“It supports our ambition to solidify Nemlig’s new position as one of Denmark’s cheapest grocery retailers, while continuing to deliver the convenience and service our customers expect.”
