Ocado expands Future of Food Edit with 200 new products
Ocado is expanding its range of healthier and more sustainable food options with the addition of 200 new products.
The expansion follows the launch of the Future of Food Edit aisle of grocery products at the online grocer five months ago. Customers shopping the aisle can now choose from more than 440 products across 33 categories, including Beauty, Baby, Oils, Vinegars & Sauces, and Fish.
Subscribe to TRBThe aisle has been developed in partnership with Future of Food, the free, not-for-profit platform that discovers and spotlights entrepreneurs working on more sustainable ways of producing and consuming food.
To mark Organic September, Ocado has expanded the edit with a 130% increase in its range of organic products.
All brands listed within the edit are required to meet nutrition criteria set by Ocado’s nutritionist, and have their product sourcing and waste claims independently verified through the Provenance claims data platform.
New brands available include Cheeky Panda, Freddie’s Farm, Wildly Tasty, Citizens of Soil, ManiLife and Pip Organic.
Bryony Whiting, head of partnerships and commercial strategy at Ocado Retail, said: “The expansion of our ‘Future of Food Edit’ aisle reflects Ocado’s ongoing commitment to building a more sustainable food system while making it easier for shoppers to discover innovative, verified brands that align with their health and environmental values. Something we know our customers are increasingly looking for.”
