M&S drops prices of 65 everyday food products

M&S has dropped the prices of over 65 everyday food products to take its investment in lowering food prices to £30 million so far this year.

The products are all part of its Remarksable Value, Dropped & Locked and Bigger Pack, Better Value ranges and include items like salmon fillets, British beef mince, free-range eggs and tomato ketchup.

Other items include staples such as French fries, tortilla wraps and onions.

M&S has been steadily investing in expanding its Remarksable Value range and more products are set to be added over the summer. The range now includes more than 140 everyday items.

It is also working to strengthen its appeal to family customers to help them  “eat well for less”, which will include a major expansion of its frozen range.

Alex Freudmann, managing director of M&S Food, said: “As we double the size of our food business, we are continuing to invest in quality and price to bring the best food to our customers.

“These price reductions across key family favourites like salmon, eggs and veg are all part of our commitment to help our customers to eat great tasting food every day, without compromise. This is another step on our transformation journey as we reinvest for growth.”
