Morrisons enters financial services market with insurance offering
Morrisons has entered the financial services market with the launch of Morrisons Insurance.
The move will see the supermarket offer branded pet and travel insurance policies that can be purchased via its website.
Subscribe to TRBThe pet insurance will offer three levels of lifetime pet cover with the vet options of £2,500, £5,000 or £10,000 per year. Customers will be able to access 24/7 vet assistance with UK-based vet nurses and vets online or over the phone at Pet Health Assist Line.
The travel Insurance will offer three tiers of cover and includes gadget cover as standard when purchased directly from Morrisons.
Morrisons said its More Card holders will benefit from exclusive rewards when policies are purchased directly. This will include them earning 20,000 More Points on every pet insurance policy and a 10% discount on travel insurance policies for both single and annual multi trip.
Once customers collect 5,000 More Points, they will receive a Morrisons Fiver, which can be redeemed on a future shop in stores or online.
The insurance is being launched in partnership with the Hood Group.
