Morrisons launches free NHS and at-cost Meningitis B vaccines

Morrisons has announced that it is now offering Meningitis B vaccinations across participating Morrisons pharmacies.

Customers eligible under NHS criteria can access the vaccine for free via the NHS National Booking Service, or by checking their eligibility in-store.

Morrisons said those accessing the service privately will pay the lowest supermarket price available at a best in market cost price of £75 per dose, or £150 for the full two-dose course. According to Morrisons, this makes the vaccine £10 cheaper than other supermarket competitors and up to £35 cheaper than other major high street pharmacies..

John Parry, head of pharmacy at Morrisons, said: “We’re here to support the health and wellness of all our customers.

“While many eligible customers can receive the vaccine for free through the NHS at one of our Morrisons Pharmacies, we know that those who don’t qualify can face significant costs if they choose to be vaccinated privately.

“That’s why we’re offering the MenB vaccine at its cost price. We want to make it as affordable as possible for customers.”

Morrisons Pharmacy offers a range of NHS and private healthcare services, including vaccinations, health checks and expert advice.
