Majestic opens new small format store in Marlow

Wine retailer Majestic has opened a new small-format store in Marlow as part of its ongoing UK expansion.

The 2,200 square foot space is around half the size of an average Majestic store, and stocks a selection of more than 600 wines, as well as beers, spirits, low and no alcohol alternatives, soft drinks and snacks.

The store features a dedicated area for 75 fine wines and will host free wine tastings seven days a week from the in-store Tasting Counter.

Customers will also benefit from services such as next-day home delivery, free glass hire for occasions such as weddings and birthday parties, and Majestic’s ‘No Quibble Guarantee’, which allows customers to return any wines they do not like in exchange for a bottle of equivalent value.

In addition, the shop will support Majestic’s growing B2B division, Majestic Commercial, by supplying wines to gastropubs, bars and restaurants in the area.

The store is the third small-format site opened by Majestic in the past year. Situated in Anglers Court in Spittal Street, it will trade alongside retailers such as M&S Food and Cook.

Majestic chief executive John Colley said: “Marlow is a location we’ve had our eye on for some time as part of our expansion plans, so we are delighted to be opening a new store in the town.

“Our first small-format store in Harpenden has been a huge hit with customers since opening a year ago, and we are confident that the people of Marlow will love the proposition we are bringing to their town, too.”
