Iceland offers free same-day delivery this week in online growth push

Iceland Foods is offering free same-day delivery for all orders over £40 this week to help shoppers “save even more when booking a home delivery slot”.

The move comes as the retailer continues its push to expand its online shopping offering.

Available until Thursday 16 April, the option will run until 9pm each day, with delivery slots available in under two hours.

The retailer, which already offers free next-day delivery, said free same-day delivery will be particularly helpful following the expense of the school holidays and as fuel and energy costs continue to rise amid events in the Middle East.

The free same-day slots are being made available across the full range of Iceland and The Food Warehouse products.

Richard Walker, executive chair of Iceland said: “We know that customers are continuing to feel the pinch, especially after the school holidays and as uncertainty from the Middle East continues.

“We’re proud to introduce this promotion for all our customers, helping families stock up on the essentials.”
