Asda to launch first charity TikTok Shop

Asda is to launch its first charity TikTok shop as it looks to raise awareness and funds for October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

From 29 September at 9am, the supermarket will sell a discounted bundle of pink products before the individual products land in store or online. The bundle includes nine “family favourites” for a price of £7.17 – a figure representing the one in seven women across the UK who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

As part of Asda’s long running Tickled Pink activity, all proceeds from the sales of the TikTok Shop bundle will be donated to Asda’s Tickled Pink charity partners, CoppaFeel! and Breast Cancer Now.

The branded products in the bundle include Yorkshire Tea (160 bag pack), Mr Kipling 6 Viennese Whirls (6 cakes), Nescafe cappuccino sachets (7 sachets), Chicken Super Noodles (90g), Candy Kittens Eton Mess sweets (140g) Queen Pot Noodle Chicken and Mushroom (114g), Diet Coke (330ml can), chocolate digestives (232g pack) and marmite (250g).

During October, Asda customers will also see over 200 products from George, general merchandise and popular brands switch to pink packaging. These will include items such as Shreddies breakfast cereal,  Shloer Pink Bubbly, 30 pack of Diet coke, raspberry Jammie Dodgers, Itsu Bao Buns and Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney Pie.

This year the Tickled Pink campaign has hit a  milestone of £100 million raised over the past 29 years.

Emma Betts, Asda’s national charity partnerships manager, said: “We are proud to have so many of our suppliers supporting this year’s Tickled Pink campaign and turning their iconic brands pink.

“It’s set to be one of our biggest ever years with over 200 products available both in stores and online, giving customers the opportunity to donate by purchasing everyday household products and clothing items.

“This is an exciting year as we launch a first ever charity TikTok shop for Tickled Pink but also, it’s a celebration of raising over £100 million over the last 29 years.”

Matt Beane, head of FMCG at TikTok Shop UK, said: ‘We are delighted to have Asda on TikTok Shop for its launch of the exclusive Tickled Pink bundle.

“It’s great to see so many iconic brands in one bundle turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, supporting an incredible cause.”
