Aldi to slash prosecco prices as England progresses through the World Cup
Aldi has announced that it will be cutting the price of prosecco every time the England progresses through the World Cup as it looks to help football fans celebrate for less.
If England qualifies from the group stages, the supermarket will cut the price of its Specially Selected Prosecco from £7.99 to £6.99. It will also apply further discounts with each knockout-stage.
Subscribe to TRBAldi said each promotional price will be available for 24 hours within 48 hours of the match, before returning to the standard retail price of £7.99.
Depending how far England progresses through the tournament, Aldi said customers could unlock the following 24-hour discounts:
- Group stage qualification: £6.99
- Round of 32 win: £6.49
- Round of 16 win: £5.99
- Quarter-final win: £5.49
- Semi-final win: £4.99
- World Cup win: £4.49
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “We know many shoppers will be getting together with friends and family to watch England throughout the World Cup, so we wanted to make those celebrations even more affordable.
“With every England victory, shoppers will unlock even bigger savings on our Specially Selected Prosecco.”
