Zalando’s pre-owned webshop expands into Denmark and Sweden
Online fashion retailer Zalando has extended is Zircle pre-owned webshop to Denmark and Sweden after launching it in Germany two years ago.
The move follows a Zalando survey that found around half of retailer’s Swedish and Danish customers would consider buying pre-owned fashion within the next six months.
Mareike Hummel, director UX recommerce at Zalando, said: “We are very excited to expand Zircle to Sweden and Denmark and offer Nordic consumers a pre-owned experience with the highest level of convenience. Over the past two years since launching Zircle in Germany and expanding across Europe, we have gathered many learnings that helped improve the customer experience when shopping on Zircle.”
To be accepted on the platform, each article is subject to a two-step quality check which includes a vetting of digital photos uploaded by the customer and a second check once Zalando receives the physical product. Brands include those that are currently featured on Zalando as well as those that are currently not sold on the platform.
In addition to Germany, Zircle is integrated into Zalando’s fashion stores in Spain, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Poland.
