Uniqlo and Theory to open joint store in Covent Garden

Fast Retailing brands Uniqlo and Theory will be opening a new joint store in London’s Covent Garden next month.

Due to launch on 27 April, the 1,450 square metre space will have entrances on Long Acre and Floral Street.

Spanning three floors, the shop will be housed in a Grade II-listed former Victorian carriage hall that features an open courtyard and vaulted glass atrium.

The shop will be the first Uniqlo store in the UK to include a café. This will be offering Japanese inspired refreshments through a partnership with London based Japanese tearoom Katsute 100.

The space will also be home to a 113 square metre Theory store which will be the premium brand’s fourth in the UK.

Alessandro Dudech, chief operating officer of Uniqlo UK, said: “It’s an honour to be opening in an area of London with such cultural and retail heritage and continuing to expand our UK presence in important retail locations. With such a strong footfall from both Londoners and tourists, we look forward to offering LifeWear to both new and existing Uniqlo customers.”
