Stella McCartney’s latest sustainable collection with Disney

Stella McCartney is continuing her Disney collab and has just unveiled a new collection linked to 82-year-old movie Fantasia.

Stella McCartney is bringing Disney’s 1941 classic Fantasia back to life, with a new collection of bags, sneakers, sweaters, and more.

In practice that means taking the film’s imagery and turning it into wearable summer pieces with a heavy focus on sustainable materials. The new Mickey Mouse-inspired range features a range of vegan materials, including organic cotton, recycled nylon, and recycled polyester.

For now it’s an adults-only collection, but a kids’ capsule will also be launched this autumn.

It’s described as “an unexpected collaboration playfully blending fashion and fantasy, embodied in a unisex capsule of irreverent pieces – reflecting a desire to escape reality, transporting a new generation to an illusory world inspired by the classic Disney animated film”.

Last year, Stella McCartney teamed up with football star Paul Pogba and Adidas to launch its first vegan football boots.
